Why Autism Ottawa Social Exists
Many autistic adults describe feeling isolated or disconnected despite wanting meaningful friendships. Traditional social groups aren’t always designed with autistic needs in mind! Busy environments, unclear social expectations, and sensory overload can make participating in community activities feel exhausting rather than enjoyable.
Autism Ottawa Social was founded to change that! Our goal is to provide a space where autistic people can socialize without feeling pressured to mask their autistic traits or pretend to be someone they are not.
